There are some in our community that want to restore the name of Don Juan De Onate to the equestrian bronze at the airport. Some want to add the names of all those people involved with funding and implementing the erection of the sculpture at the airport arguing the importance of the work of art should be recognized. Certainly, the names of those on the editorial boards of our English language publications should be included as they have been strident advocates for the statue.
